Log In Date May 12/2006
It's been confirmed for us that our log in date is really May 12/2006. So, now we hunt for rumors again and hope for a match in the next batch. We're camping again this weekend but at least there is decent signals at this campground.

Never say never
The girlies are spending the night with Gramma and Grampa so Eric and I had to do their chores. Clean the rat cage and do the dishes. I did dishes which left Eric with rattykin duty. I recal him saying he would NEVER do that. Too funny, I think he's starting to like the little rats.
We did hear from Sunrise this afternoon that the person they needed to talk to at the CCAA was away, so we wait another weekend for news.

Waiting for a log in date confirmation
It's clear that we weren't in this last batch, which likely means our log in date is wrong. Marg phoned me this morning (took time out on her holiday, which we really appreciate) and she was on the situation. Understood the whole process, was clear on what she thinks happened and had a plan of action. Her support was awesome and I feel much better today. She is having the support people in China contact CCAA for a confirmed log in date. Hopefully we'll hear tomorrow.
Now to celebrate the small things in life. Lili lost her other front tooth and the fairy brought her $5 last night. Fei has announced that she now knows how to put her hands out when she is falling, for which we are all super excited about. Eric brought in his first harvest of peas from his garden and they were yummy. Isabel doesn't seem to be biting us (mouthing us) anymore. Lili and Fei discovered the world of Barbies today and I just got home and saw them playing with my old blond dolls and then let them pick out a Chinese Doll from their collections to play with and they were thrilled. They didn't know they were allowed to take them out of the boxes. Our Jeep just sold, first guy to look at it came today, sat in it and said sold, I knew if someone just came and saw it they'd appreciate how pretty it is. The buyer can't get his car and the Jeep home tonight so I offered to drive it home for him and that means I get Chinese food out at Crystal Jade tonight. Every one's favorite. This one is pretty big...we won't have to travel in Aug. and it's pretty stinkin' hot in China in August and although I would willingly do anything to get my child home I have to admit the idea of Sept./Oct. travel is vastly more appealing.
I know everyone is feeling bad for us, but really we're OK. We've been through much, much worse. This was a mere disappointment. I'm not feeling up to the hype of watching rumors and referrals roll in again but I'll likely feel different about that in a few weeks. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to support us, it was very kind and we want you to know it really does help.

Nothing at the Ministry
Fonnie reports that there is nothing at the Ministry for Sunrise. I simply don't understand how another agency in BC with the same log in date would get files and ours wouldn't. It's hard to hold out hope at this point. I don't know what happens next.
They made it to BC
A friend in BC just got her call, so we know they made it to Victoria!!
Waiting not so patiently.

It's Monday
Ok, at work, ready again for my call or e-mail. Managed to stay busy all weekend, hopefully that's the last one we have to endure before we finally see the sweet face of our newest child. We were so busy yesterday in our attempt to just relax in the back yard that it took us 5 hours to complete three pedicures, there were so many disruptions and of course the girls had to stop and swim every few minutes.
The loop of questions just doesn't stop, who is she/he, how old is she/he, is she/he healthy, where is she/he?

Another weekend to endure
Well, it's almost 7. I'm starting to think we aren't going to hear anything today. Sigh. To say I'm dissappointed in quite the understatement.
It's summer festival days here this weekend and the girls are dancing at 2 in the city square. So at least there is something to look forward to tomorrow.

I've been asking Sunrise to put us in touch for years. It's SO nice to hear from you. Contact me, I'm your new BFF. shelnel@blforest.com
Fonnie told me yesterday that she'd let me know if the file was in Victoria. No word yet. Have you heard anything?

Calls are happening!
Phone calls are happening this morning! It's time! It's time!
Come on Fonnie, come on Marg..Doug...Angie...anyone at Sunrise...It's Time!
I'm ready for our call. More likely tomorrow but I'd sure love to hear something today.
Here in BC, our files go to the Ministry for Children and Families first and then will be sent to our agency.

For My May RQ friends
Finally, some good news and light at the end of the tunnel for all the May Folks!! It's an R3 that May 10 is the cut off date! We're in! We're in! We're in! Oh and in case you missed it...
We're In!!
Now...if only that would move up to an R4 or 5 and if only we knew if the referrals have been mailed and if only we knew when we're going to see our child's face for the first time. It just makes me giddy to know that somewhere there is a package with a file for us, letting us know after all these years who our child is? Is it a boy or a girl (we asked for a girl). Is it a baby, toddler or a little kid? Where is she?

Still Nothing
Ok, made it through two weekends believing we'd hear something in the new week. Nothing. RQ reports that she sees nothing and there is nothing in any of the other rooms I chat in. Sigh. Groan.
You'd think after four years and two months that I'd be better at waiting. We started the adoption process in 1999. I've been in waiting mode for a very long time and still I'm finding this end part very difficult. Just really want to know who is joining our family!!
Camping was fun. Weather was great. We celebrated Eric's birthday at a lake with friends and family.

Checking In
Checking into RQ several times a day now. There was a rumor early in the week that CCAA was almost done matching. Then we heard they might be here the week of the 4th. Now we've heard from the Spanish RQ that she feels next week and that they should go to 8th or 9th of May. So both RQ's on the same page. I was hoping for something higher than a R1 or R2 rumor before the weekend. Such fun! I can't believe after all these years it's finally our turn. The kids ask several times a day if we're sure there is a baby coming.
Camping is going well. Kids are having a blast. They are busy going from site to site with each other. They've all taken off and I'm enjoying a bit of peace on the computer.
