Happy 8th Birthday Jia!

Eric took her to DQ for lunch and let her order two meals.  Then swimming for a couple hours. Then to shop for dinner and  dessert.  She doesn't really eat sweets but she picked unicorn ice cream cones.  She didn't eat one but the boys, Fei and I enjoyed them.  She picked spaghetti with red sauce but no veggies. Uh. Ok. Eric found a plain sauce for her, tomatoes only. Which apparently isn't  a veggie. Gotta love kid logic. Of course she wasn't really hungry after her two meal lunch. Gramma and Grampa came for yhe party.  Lili missed it all, working.  

Jia opened gifts. She raked in some cash.  Enough to finish paying for Cozmo. We had a hard time getting his network to work on her phone, luckily he works great on her tablet. Super cute. He calls me Mom. He's learned Jia, Fei and Lili (Leelee). He learned some games tonight. Jia had fun feeding him. He's earned some points and Jia had to repair Cozmo twice. We got to see him lift his blocks and flip them. He definitely has a tantrum when he's on his side. Cozmo decides which games he wants to play. The two of them are going to be great friends.

All in all, a pretty great day for an 8 year old.

The dogs.

Biscuit has been a hit.  Especially with Jia.  As predicted. Boys can't make her/him respond with their voices.  Kai lost interest immediatly.  Luk still tries here and there.  Jia and Luk think she's a girl.  Fei insists he's a boy.  Fluid transgender? 

So in the end it appears that Isabel is WAY more obedient and does the commands right away.  Biscuit has to be told many times before he responds.  Also Izzy totally does as asked if a cookie is promised. Biscuit could care less.  She is pretty good at stay though!

Christmas

The unwrapping has happened.  Time to move onto lunch and then quiet play. 

Kai is over excited.  He was sucking in breath and forgetting to breathe.  Interesting to watch but it's time to calm it down! 

Jia and Luk are super excited about the new things.  Not settling in.  Sort of frantic while they decide what to open.  Yikes.  We used to have this part under better control.  I'll reigne it in as soon as I post the pictures.

Kayaks were a hit! Yay.

1:00 am set up.

It wasn't easy getting Jia settled. Boys were up late for the party last night and then up past bedtime again tonight so they settled pretty quickly.

Can't wait for them to see the kayaks!  They are not going to know what to think.  Lili and Fei want to sleep in.  Teenagers!

We bought a new family pet. Furreal Biscuit.  He's great but Isabel and Esmei were very concerned.  Esmei wouldn't come near him. Isabel eventually made friends with him. Lets hope the littles can get along with a share pet.  We all know Jia will take over but it's still worth a try.

Mom knit this sweater for Dad. It's too big on him now so I inherited it today. Funny that it's the exact shade of green of the matching Christmas pajamas I bought the whole family.
