Lili wanted to host a party for her friends. There was supposed to be the whole group but numbers dwindled over the weeks leading up. Some on holidays, some working. It gets tougher to get together as they get older. It ended up being five of them. Lili bought the supplies. She got up early and got the house ready. Vacuumed, washed floors, dusted, cleaned the bathroom, gathered and emptied the garbage. Did litter boxes. Swept the deck and polished the glass table. Cleaned her room. She even set the table. I cleaned the kitchen. Fed breakfast. Cleaned the kitchen. Made cookies for the party. Cleaned the kitchen. Made lunch. Cleaned the kitchen. ;)
She was so surprised at how much work it was. Wanted to know if we actually do all of that every time someone comes over. Uh, ya. And to a smaller degree it's what we do every day! She thought she had learned a lot. She was also very appreciative of the work we do and thanked me for helping her get ready. Such a sweet girl.
It was all good. Lots of giggles. They were playing cards and singing Disney songs together. Oliver got a ton of loves.
