Kai used to be a decent patient until he was in picu with non stop bleeding. Now during all appointments he cries, complains, is beligerant and asks "go home now". The new trend is to offer treats for compliance. Not great. He hated the whole thing but he loved his caramel after.
Verdict, new Dr. concurs on diagnosis. Wants his eye drops stopped. He believes me when I say that he looks but he can't see. He seemed surprised that Kai can't see himself in the mirror. He did say that he will write a recommendation for Kai to join the visually impaired clinic. Much like Luk's spinal injury clinic. Which although annoying to have to go Children's it will be great for Kai and easier overall for us to access services. Oh and of course another new prescription.
When they transferred the appointment they dropped a test. So grrr we have to go back. They are attempting to book same day as Luk's clinic. Fingers crossed.
Then on the way home we watched the 4, 5 and 6 leave. Never had a wait like that. Long day but we did make it on to the 7. Tail end.
