Really Big Day here!

The Tooth Fairy gets to visit Kai tonight!  

As distressing and gross as this is...Kai has eaten all of his lost teeth so far.  This is the first one he brought to us.  Pretty much party mode here.  In an effort to get him to stop eating them the fairy doesn't come without a tooth.  So he is really excited right now.  Wait until he finds out what color his fairy is and that he gets $5.

The boys moved downstairs to their playroom to survive.  Fei has ac in her room.  Jia was displaced.  Found her here after the first night of the sun trying to kill us. Next two mornings she was on my couch with Finn.

I was too worried to let him sleep with us.  He still doesn't know how to use the steps to our bed and wouldn't be able to leave if he got too hot.  

It's not been a picture taking time.  Survival here.  The ac in our room not able to keep up.  The ac in the living room provides a cool spot but definitely not enough to cool the house.

The pool is at 34!!!!!!!! Enough said.

We're definitely not enjoying this new experience.  Anyone know how to get central air on a 111 year old hot water radiant system?  

Prom Day

Or as it is being called for another covid year,  Red Carpet Day. 

It was tough to pick the best photos, they're all so great.  Such a gorgeous girl.

So fun their big days coincide.  Still the best of friends.

An incredible view on an old farm.  Too stinking hot for the grads to be hanging out in.  Lili and I skedaddled after a couple pictures.  From here she'll head to the fair grounds for their red carpet event.  Then to an after dinner/party.  I get to help supervise from 7 to 9 so should get a couple photos later.  For now we're hanging in the living room enjoying our air conditioning.  The event will be live streamed but I think more fun to watch it later with Fei.

Heatwave

There's a heatwave on the way.  Mom gave us her air-conditioner a couple years ago.  It's been sitting in my office unused.  Eric picked it up today.  The living room is so nice and cool right now.

I've been complaining for years about the mildew smell in the moho.  For years Eric has told me it's the air conditioner.  We rarely hook up so never use the air conditioner.  Sunday we're off to Lakeview and will have power so Mr Mr is in the moho trying to revamp the system and get the air blowing properly out the vents.  I typically hate camping in the heat.  Not sure how long I'll last on this trip!!  When I went to talk to him it was abundantly clear that the smell is coming from the air conditioner.  I can stop having him rip everything else out one by one ;)

Came home to find these two cooling off on their time off :)

Fei's Graduation!

Such a fun day.  Our girl graduated with honors.

Started with a trip down memory lane to visit their elementary school.

And visit with old teachers.

I had my first cry of the day here.  Where has the time gone?!  I want then to be little again.  I want a do over.

So grown up now.

Then to the high school for a ceremony with her classmates.  No parents allowed.

2nd shot done!! Yay.  Moderna this time.  I'm a mix and match.  

Heading home to a theme night.  Spaghetti meal with all the fixings while we watch Luca on Disney+.  

Lake Time

A few days to get quiet and reflect.  We had a few hours the 1st night before Max joined us.

Shannon, Ken and kids arrived the next morning.  Jia was chomping at the bit asking repeatedly when friends would be arriving.  :)

It got a little out of control with the hammock. Once Max arrived it was a matter of moments before Jia landed on the log.  That ended the hammock fun.

Zoom in on Finn.  Hahaha.  They have all learned to LOVE their rides.  So fun.  

Kalum and Max just jumped in.  So cold.  Zoey joined in for a lot of swimming.  Jia was finding it too cold.  Wild to send the four of them off on their own to swim and hang out.  

Kai wasn't interested in swimming.

Luk was keen to stay in the water.

The girls took Esmei to her groomers appointment while we were camping. She got a summer jacket cut.  Oh my gosh.

I don't think she's delighted yet. I totally raved to her and she was cheering up.  I really, really hope it grows back ok. 

Busy night on Saturday.  Eric's sisters came out as well as Lili, Fei and Isabel.  We did our Father's Day dinner.
