We were up early to take kids to school. Then home to shower. Lili's arm was crazy sore from her vaccine and she wasn't comfortable driving so we opted to hang around to pick the kids up. I hit the couch with the puppies and caught up online and in my games. Eric rebuilt the solar heating thingy majiggy he built for the pool a few years ago and got some new parts and fittings to get the pool running for the summer. He picked up our milk and brought lunch to Lili, Fei and I. We made it back to the campsite late afternoon...just us...no kids and only one dog. Weird. Quiet. I think it was possibly our first whole night away from the boys. We had snacks on a share plate. Wild and crazy. I had a ridiculously bad crohns night the night before so was just nibbling. Terrified to eat but starving at the same time. Pretty sure kale salad is not my friend. Fun times.
Cringy yearly conversations. Would you marry me again? Like there is a way to answer that except the one obvious way. We did discuss that since the kids are asking to go back to Reno and it's our 30th next year that perhaps we could go next year on a road trip. If we're allowed.
We attempted a walk but Finn isn't interested, he prefers the stroller. Eric mostly carried him. Haha. Most people had a chuckle except one lady who kind of scoffed at the silly Chihuahua. Some people just don't get them.
We enjoyed our time. I wasn't totally comfortable being out of cell service. I was up early and home by 7 to get the littles to school. I even brought lunches packed from the moho. Rocking the responsibility thing today ;) Then dropped Finn at the vet, kids at school and got back to work. This relaxing thing is a lot of work.
