Lili's Gotcha

Lili has spent the weekend in Vancouver to see Taylor Swift.  Friday and Sunday with Taygating on Saturday.  Today was her gotcha and she got to have breakfast out with Lian this morning.  So fun to see them celebrate together.

They came upon a crowd and then watched a police escorted cavalade that they all believe was Taylor headed to the arena.

They're having a great time.
Coming back to the island early tomorrow morning. Lili will head straight to work.  She is going to be exhausted by the time she gets home.
Another appointment for Jia.  Waiting for our turn to be questioned.  Sigh. I looked over and laughed at his maxing and relaxing just like Kai.

I wanted an adult Grinch McHappy meal to get the sox.  The pairs are mismatched.  I mentioned that I wasn't sure I could actually wear mismatched sox.
So, dear hubby got a happy meal that he didn't particularly want just so I could have matched sets.  Then Jia pointed out after the fact that we could have just ordered the sox.  Haha.  Oh well, it was fun.

Such a beautiful sunny weekend.  We strolled the market, ran some errands and ate lunch out.

Thai Lum Lum.  We went to try the new Thai restaurant downtown, the menu was awfully familiar.  It is the same as the place in Chemainus we go to because they're family and connected.

Car washing Onyx, getting ready to decorate for the xmas parade next weekend.

Decked out.

Big Night here.

I know you will all be in disbelief at this.  Probably jealous too.  I know it's just too exciting.
We are going to see Donny Osmond.
Sigh.
I can hardly believe it myself.
Lili's command central for a Taylor Swift ticket drop.  She managed to get one ticket for the last night of the Eras tour.

So two happy Nelson girls tonight ;)

Mr Luk had science homework.  We knocked it out in 20 minutes by working together.  Teachers...seriously...stop with this nonsense at home.  I didn't need to learn this today.  Eric didn't need to learn this today.  Trust me, families have more than enough to get done in a day without your busy work coming home.

I had to laugh at Eric's duck, he didn't put his Mickey back, it gets to stay on the Commander.

My fall was a week ago but my foot is worse.  Keeps swelling when  I over do it.  My butt is bruised and there isn't a single comfortable position.  So I'm definitely being crabby about it.  I layed low today and didn't get much done and my list is long.  But, I get to see Donny.

I ordered Shein and Temu things for the kids and a wee something for me  came in a package today.  Haha.  It's a baby Onyx.  Too cute.

Oh my.

Eric installed her under carriage lights today. Love!
She has all the colors, flashing, fading and alternating.  So fun.  I'll likely just use the plain red ;)  Possibly alternating red and green for the Christmas parade.  It's controlled by an app.
Eric wants to do inside our Falcon trailer now.  Our dinette is supposed to have strip lighting around it but it's not in ours.  Presumably someone took it out, we're 3rd owners.

Christmas Prep

Gnome painting.

They turned out great!
Me, Kai, Luk, Eric, Lili, Fei, Jia, Mom.

Sassy and Jerry touched noses but I missed the moment.

I was this cute today.

It was a long day. We got it all done.
Now, we're ready.
There were lots of moments of joy.
I'm grateful for peaceful family days.

Isabel Memorial Video

Fei made this video of our girl.  It's beautiful.  Thankyou Fei.  Omg I miss her so much.  A doggo life well lived.  She really was the goodest.

We celebrated with cookies.  Izzy's favorite treat.

More Adulting Going On

We're all home tomorrow. The plan is to paint gnomes, decorate the house and cry our way through a video Fei made of Isabel.

Fei cleverly got glasses on a black Friday sale.  She's needed glasses since high school.  It only took a few years to finally make some choices.  She looks adorable.  She got prescription sunglasses too.

Jia was with us but refused to be in a photo.  We scored a black Friday shopping trip together.

This was another adult off my phone plan!  Adulting 101.

Happenings

These two went to an Ozzy tribute.
Not E's favorite, it should have been me there instead ;)  He had fun hanging with Charles though. It's just good to get out.

My wee fellow.

Jerry.  Isn't he the cutest thing ever?!
He looks giant here.  I doubt he is even two inchs long irl.

Oh Walter.

Lili took me to see Wicked tonight.
Run to go see this one.  Soooo good.

In other news, we saw the pediatrician this week and since Kai is now adult size, his liver and kidneys are likely almost done growing and the need for transplants is seeming  more and more unlikely.  So, we're definitely celebrating that!  Also apparently he is savant like with coding so that's making for fun and shocking updates at school.  Kai thinks it's super funny. It is crazy to fathom, he can't bath himself or figure out which shoes and toothbrush is his. He needs one on one care for pretty much everything but coding is making sense to him.  We're all here for this development. Just living in Kai's world. Haha.

We paid off Onyx. Yay us.  To celebrate I ordered her some undercarriage lights.  I'm getting ready for the xmas car parade.

Eric worked all day clearing a garage so he could get under Cherry and have a look using the lift.  He's onto another project with learning curve.  He spent his evening on YouTube researching and now thinks he's prepared to get replacing parts.  He has no fear.

This Sunday we're planning to haul out xmas decorations, lights and the old fake kitten tree.  We bought it when we had kittens, 8/9 years ago.  Lol.  Our intention was to go back to big real trees but this one is just so easy.  We also have some wooden gnomes to paint for some forced family fun.

Earlier this week I slipped and fell down the icy front steps. The ring camera caught it. Grimace.  I did watch it and said "didn't my hair look fabulous though?".  Oy. Ouch. Recovery takes longer at this age.  Eric helped me up and just asked me what I broke.  My left foot and bumbalarie are really bruised.  I'm still feeling it days later but I'm done limping.

Funny one. We got a call offering Eric a family Dr.  He said he wanted one since his is in Victoria.  Nope, they're not offering him a spot if he already has one.  I could over hear and said the girls need a Dr.  So he mentioned his kids need a Dr. and nope, they're only offering spaces to seniors without a Dr.  The look on Eric's face!  Haha.  I get the senior assumption often but he's new to it.

I cautiously think I'm done shopping for the kids. Just waiting on deliveries now.
