Nice expression Lili.
Nice expression Shea.
Police station. Right on the sidewalk along a major highway.
We tried watching a movie, but the connection is slow and although the picture is ok, it did have to stop and stream a bit too often. Plus, we fell asleep she admits sheepishly. So, when our friends asked us to join them for noodles we got dressed and headed out with them. The heat was quite pleasant. Nice stroll down the road and we ended up at a dumpling place. We were the evenings entertainment of course. The cooks were coming out of the kitchen to watch us attempt ordering. A fellow customer finally took mercy and had them bring us samples. It was 30 yuan (5.10cdn) for six of us for dumplings and drinks. They were pretty good. All three kids loved them. Then we stopped at the market for more water while we were there and had a slow stroll back. It's 9:30 and we're going to eat a little fruit salad and go to bed.
We did meet a few of the BC families in the lobby tonight. They just got in, were wiped and heading off for a swim. They let us know that we're to meet at 10am tomorrow to get the girls camp t-shirts. Fun stuff. We'll miss that part and will have to meet up with the organizers later (should be fine, since lots of families are arriving later in the day) because we're going with three other families in a bus to a section of Great Wall that we haven't seen. Apparently there is a huge metal slide that you can go on. Shea is very excited about it. I've never heard of it but it sounds fun. Well, I don't think I want to slide on anything metal in the heat, but Lili might.
Lili here: The walk was nice. Dumplings were awesome. Really, really excited about going to the Great Wall tomorrow. Hope the bus is air conditioned. Pretty tired. Munching on fruit and then to bed. Night.
