We were here years ago and had so much fun with the ground Squirrels so we were hoping to get a spot today. There were lots of spots this afternoon. Yay. We have a spot near the lake with a spectacular view. Photos don't do it justice. The color of the water is amazing.
We did a Walmart run, sani dump, rest stop lunch and drove three hours in the afternoon. The boys watched a couple movies on the go. I took a turn riding in the back. Still a great view and pretty comfy riding at the table.
We set up in a few minutes. Loving the moho lifestyle!! Lili set up a tent for tonight. She is growing up too fast. Doesn't want to be with us. I'm thinking once she hears critters she'll be back inside with us. For this evening it's given her a place to read on her tablet away from the chaos of the littles.
We all got into swim suits and headed to the beach with people on it but the water was super silty with the white glacier sand. So we moved down to a spot on our own. We tried to get in but our feet/shoes were stuck in the silt. Eric had to come in and help Fei, Jia and I. That was pretty funny. I talked everyone into going around the lake to the boat launch because the water was a darker blue. It was lovely. All to ourselves and the water was fabulous. We all cooled down and were nice and dry by the time we got back for dinner.
It's so nice to be on a holiday and eating home cooked food.
Eric and the Littles have gone for a walk before bed looking for ground squirrels. They have their binoculars. CUTE.
I'm so impressed with Eric, he's doing such a great job of manouvering this thing. I can finally picture a road trip to Disneyland in this thing!
