So, I like to complain about having to go to Children's. Mostly it's just not convenient. If the travel gods are with you it's still 5 hours each way.

It's an amazing service. Luk had seven specialist appointments in one morning. We were back on the move around lunch time. The hassle of getting those appointments and getting to each of them individually is HUGE. We completely appreciate the clinic days. After the clinic they will all meet together and discuss each kid and agree on the plan. Luk was on 6 month call back and he's been moved to once a year.
Luk told the lady at Easter Seal house that we were on little vacay. Guessing that means he doesn't mind the clinic that much.
Lots of good news. He doesn't have to use afos (leg braces) anymore. Also pricey orthotics are reduced to cork strips in his shoes. Also...he's moving onto timed elimination. Which means he's sitting on the toilet every two hours and learning to "let down". Miraculously it's working so far. There is hope. Also a plan in place for next year if this doesn't work for him. He has some tethering in his ankles. I was told he was a good candidate for botox shots versus scary spinal surgery.
We had a nice time just the two of us.
He learned how to play crazy 8's.
There's a new mini bear at Easter Seal House.
The new wing at Children's has a pretty great waiting room.
The new outside area is pretty cool too.
Goyza well earned by our little patient.
