First Day of School

First day was yesterday for most of them and today for Lili. Kai was quite upset about having to go back. He cried a dozen times in the morning. I was surprised to see a photo that was ok of him. It felt cruel to leave him there. The day turned out ok. The boys weren't talking but Eric reported they were happy at the end of the day. They have an ea this year that they've had before so that was good. Jia had fun. She was with her Max. I'm more than a little perturbed about how dirty her new shoes were. They look years old after one day. Arg. There is a portable going in and big piles of dirt. That the kids were obviously allowed in. I can't be the only parent that isn't happy about extra laundry. Jia was firmly told that if she is going to play in the dirt she can wear boots and holey shoes, much to her dismay.

So...there were some super happy parents there that were thrilled to be back to school. Eric and I are looking at this week as hell week and sooo not happy about being back. Summer went by way too fast.
