We rode this train today. Such fun. It's huge. Such a nice way to travel. Not cramped and serious like flying. Smooth and comfortable. Tons of leg room. Leg rests, reclining chairs and great views. We all agree that we would consider a longer trip with Amtrak for sure.
We were up early. Haha. I don't have the app with alerts. Bought our tickets at the station and didn't know the train was an hour behind schedule.

Visiting Truckee. Great little tourist stop. Much like Tahoe, a bit like Virginia City.

We had Mexican food for lunch. Fabulous place. All home made and fresh daily. We all enjoyed.
Kids finally spent some of their money. Putty for Luk and Jia. A train and a hotwheel for Kai.
Found a band for me. Debbie...could it get any closer to the one I wanted?
The Truckee station. So cute. Reminds me of the station at home. Way more fun than the one in the museum...the train actually came...and you can feel/hear it rumbling in. And the Conductors actually dress in uniforms including the hat! And they don't say hello, they say 'safe travels'.
The view is spectacular. We were in the Nevada Sierras. Lili slept the whole way back. I was fighting falling asleep.
We're back at the hotel. Eric is napping. He wanted to know why if this trip was supposed to be relaxing why he isn't getting any naps. He's sounding like me. The plan is to try the buffet tonight at our hotel. Reno's newest buffet.
