Coco

The name is official.  Meet Miss Coco. Her 1st vet appointment was this morning.  You can get in right away when you're a frequent flier.  Haha.  For the first time ever the name game didn't even happen.  Total, 100% agreement from the ranks.  Weird.  Eric said it and we all like Coco for various reasons.  She already comes when we call her and Sasha has learned her name too.  Coo coo for Coco Puffs, Coco-Bean, Coco Channel.  Anything chocolate is all good.  Plus Coco is another Disney name.  There wasn't even one other name suggestion.  I had thought Bitsy for Zuuzuu. Funny thing, in my mind Zuuzuu was super tiny but it turns out she's actually bigger than Sasha!

Vet says it's too early to know if Coco has hydrocephalus.  Could be a mild case and she could outgrow it and he didn't think I should spend time worrying about it. For now she is alert, healthy and strong.  She does have conjunctivitis (eye inflammation) and we brought home medicine cream for her.  So it's all good.
We did get her birthdate confirmed.  Nov 12 which makes her 20 weeks, 5 months, not 3 as we were told.  Chihuahuas are mostly grown at 6 months.  So teeny Coco isn't going to be very big.  She has the same Dad as Sasha so they are bio half siblings.  Awe.  They were doing ok on Sat.  Sunday the love affair was developing.  Monday it's clear that the two puppies have entered a world of their own and they are beyond adorable when they play.  They follow each other.  If one asks to come up they both want up.  Love it.  They will sleep beside each other but not touching yet.
Total cuteness overload.
This makes me so happy.
In not puppy news, there isn't a lot going on.  The kids and Eric remain happy at home.  They all find lots to do.  No complaining. We had to pick up an online Walmart order yesterday and brought home pizza for dinner.  We made them all come out to the porch to eat. Then the girls hung out with Coco while Luk and I did laps.  Kai was busy building traps and then I had to use the secret word to get unstuck.  Tricky figuring out the secret word.  With Kai we still rely a lot on context to figure out what he's said.  I eventually would announce what the secret word was before he spoke and he would repeat it back to me.  It worked.  He was happy.  Then Eric made big bubbles for him to catch and his life was complete.  Jia couldn't come and play, she was online gaming with friends.
Kai was half dressed.  I put laundry away today and the boys piles were hillarious.  One pair of pants and one tshirt each the rest was jammies.  Crazy days.
Mr Mr has spent the bulk of two days trying to get his lawn tractor going.  The transmission had seized pins.  There was some cheering when we heard him mowing today.
Jia is finally aware of the new computer.  Apparently there were a few things they were wanting to play/try/look into.  She is delighted with the enhanced versions of games she plays on her tablet.  The boys wanted to play a math game they play at school, now the three of them are on it together.  For three hours.  It looks boring to me.  They have to answer a math question to move on in the game.  They're loving it.  Late night tonight I guess.  Because who would insist their kids stop doing math.
Gramma gave the boys her old tablet.  It's here just in time for online school.  I loaded epic books on there today and Kai and I had some fun exploring.  Tons of books to read on there.  Free through the school until the end of June.  It has a lot that read out loud so Kai can listen independently.  I read him four books, the app read him two.  One of them was a graphic comic.   I don't like reading them, not a lot of words and you need to look at the pictures to understand the story.  Not something Kai can do so it always just sounds so distorted.  However, when the app read it there were sound effects added in and he loved it. Luk had a turn, he was on his own for a good hour.  He liked it too.
This is a cram session.  She's had weeks and weeks and an extension to get her bursaries and scholarship applications done. They're due Wed.  It's hard to picture University when there is no end of high school.  She did put in her application for housing at VIU and has joined the roommate search/match chat.  She also applied for the incoming outstanding student initiative, so she can get first course selection when it's time.  It won't matter if she's in nursing as the outline just is what it is but if she's doing a BA of Science it will matter.

Fei and I pretty much just spend all of our time with the puppies.  Finding our bliss.
