Kai - grade 4
Jia - grade 6
Ok, they looked happy enough. They were up early and very cooperative about getting ready, helping with lunches and organizing their stuff but none of them 'wants' to be heading back to school. There may have been tears from one of them on the drive. Said child was promised a Pokeman card if he could manage to not cry at school today. Crying causes a runny nose. Not cool in the days of covid. Fingers crossed for logic to prevail.
Keeping things real...that adorable outfit on Jia was bought in July while we were at the lake for 10 days. Jia couldn't remember it. She didn't know where it was. She puts her own laundry away. I went to help her look. Ugh. Shouldn't have. She hasn't been sorting and putting away nicely. Just cramming in piles. I sorted, refolded, culled and put it all away nicely. The outfit didn't show up. We called in the big guns. Eric came to help. We pulled all the stuff from under and behind and crevices. The outfit finally showed up. She loved it. None of us loved the mess. Soooo many little bits and notes and papers and books and pencils. So many pencils. Two hours later we had it mostly under control. She claims she isn't going to touch a thing in there but she was already cramming things under and behind while we were still in there. I threatened that there would be a weekly clean and check from now on. Many many many missing things turned up...however...my flip flops are still at large.
Luk and Kai were quietly peeking in on the mess and staying out of the way lest the Mama rampaged their room. Haha. They just have toy mess, super easy mess and nothing hidden. Luk knew exactly where their new shirts were ;)
