Her building is private student residences. Rents by terms. She has her own kitchen and bathroom with no sharing. I like how many cameras and safety features are in place. They aren't allowing any guests at all in the building during covid and I'm not sure how I'm feeling about that. Sort of think each person renting a suite should decide who is in their bubble. So let's hope this changes eventually. There are a lot of rules. Likely necessary with the demographic in the building but weird to sit and listen to.
There are 26 rooms. Usually a difficult building to get into. She's only in because of covid. This term there are 17 students. One from Nigeria who is quarantined somewhere else. 2 from Alberta and the rest from around BC. Mostly nursing students because they aren't all on-line. Lili is the only underage student and the only first year and the only one new to the building.
We signed agreements and paid for the term. She picked her parking spot and practiced getting in and out of the building.
She has a corner unit so has a bonus window and this much extra space to fill. Her first thought was table and chair for eating but second thought was lounge chair. Haha. I think she'll need this space for shoes and dirty laundry.
She can reach the bottom shelf of the cupboard on the left. So she's extremely limited on kitchen storage.
The common room and outside deck on her floor. There are 3 floors. She's on the 2nd.
Tuesday Fei switched shifts so she will be home to babysit while Eric and I go with Lili for the big move out. Eric and Lili are loading the van today.
Surreal to have your wee tiny baby that just came home from China move out. Tears are mostly at bay. Trying hard to stick with the joy but I'm not really loving this stage yet.
