We have three ways in and out. Two are flooded.
The highway flooded both directions out of town. Yikes. Scary. Grateful the rain has stopped. Now furiously praying for the goats trapped in their hut at the Red Rooster market. Lots of people ready with boats to help but rcmp won't let anyone in. Now reminders that high tide is at 2 and it's a 12' tide. Omg.
I ignored Facebook to do my wrapping. Now reading on line fretting at all the misery this water is causing. Then come summer we'll be in a drought again.
Oh, and I'm acutely aware that we can't get to the big girls. Roads all closed between us.
Al was stranded. We almost had an overnight guest. The highway just opened northbound so he made it home. And we could get to Nanaimo (the girls) if need be.
Just opened the new house insurance policy. This was in there. No kidding. And yes, we have added the enhanced water damage policy.
