Her phone wouldn't hold a charge. She's been complaining but I thought she was just being unrealistic in her phone expectation. Nope. It was really, really almost dead. So we got off the ferry and hit Walmart in Tsawwassen. Excellent service. Even got in on a black Friday sale.
An open border! So exciting. An hour and a half wait but easy to go through. Only one question, where are you going? He scanned our passports and told us to have a nice time. Didn't need vaccine cards or the letter to take Jia over the border or extra ID or copies of adoption. Seemed weird. Haha.
Olive Garden right beside our hotel. We've never been before. It was sort of like Spaghetti Factory. Bread and soup were awesome. Salad and Spaghetti was okish.
Quality Inn. Basic, clean and spacious.
Never too old to jump on the bed.
Jia is super happy, having fun. We're in jammies at 6:30. Need to be up at 3 to get to the airport by 4. So we're hoping to sleep soon. Pretty sure we'll get to sleep easily, not sure about staying asleep. Jia is busy trying to transfer files and game progress to her new phone. I'm bugging her about email, covid testing apps, arrivecan app, Disneyland app. Practical and boring business stuff.
Slept from 7 to 8, then 8:15 - 9. Up for snacks now. No spoon for yogurt so Jia did a hack. Formed a spoon from the foil lid. I added a stir stick for the handle. A little tape to stabilize. We will survive :)
