Elk Falls. We're right on the Quindam River. It's pretty nice.
Jia drove the van forward for Eric. Scary.
Luk opted to set up camp with Eric. We three took off to explore. Most of the campsite is closed. We met a local that was surprised there were reservations at all. We're not in Kansas anymore. Haha. It did admittedly get a bit scary in the empty forest for an hour. It took a lot longer to walk the camp ground than I anticipated.
Kai recognized this fence as the same as at other water falls we've been at and insisted there were falls. There weren't but it was a nice river walk.
The playground is fabulous here.

Jia is talking non stop. A bit of mania. Mostly funny and definitely exhausting.
My new heated shawl is amazing. We are short a chair so Jia has crashed my couch. It was cold out but we managed staying out for dinner and smores before heading in at 7:30.
I didn't pack cheater smores for Kai so we attempted a real ones on McVities Hobnobs. Luxory but super messy for him. Eric had to leap up and get wipes.
Overall, 1st day went well.
The trailer with five of us will take some learning curve. It's definitely not the moho.
