We didn't feel like getting everyone out for an evening stroll, so we stayed in. Worked great for Luk. He ate dinner for an hour. He isn't gorging or stuffing, just slowly keeping it going in. He eats everything offered. Clearly prefers or is used to mushy food. The list they gave me is small. Formula, rice cereal, vege broth, steamed egg, steamed bun and noodles. He doesn't know how to slurp/suck a noodle!
Penny, the zinc cream is working quickly. We had our first bum change last night that didn't include screaming. Thanks. Next I have a bunch more questions about the shunt ;)
My Mom gave us a flex ball to bring and it is officially the best toy ever. Luk loves it. We played catch for quite a while and played ta ta mama baba Jia and Luk. He gets it and if you say ta ta Luk when he has it he would crush it to his own face and laugh. He is starting to turn when we say Luk. He ignores every attempt at his Chinese name. I'm either butchering it or they didn't actually use his name.
Tonight he said 'wei Baba...Mama'. Wei is a casual hello. His voice and the few words we've heard are very clear.
He can hold a pen properly. He turns pages in a book. He bops around when there is music playing. Sways a bit like Stevie Wonder. He loves to point to all of us in his who loves baby book. He grins at Jia when she feeds him. He loves getting attention like a face wash or nose and tears wipe. He is going to be thrilled with two more sisters to dote on him.
He seemed stronger to me on day two. Able to sit up longer without falling over or slumping.
At bed time he wanted hugs and he gave me a sloppy open mouth kiss! Then I passed him to Eric and he got a kiss too. He is learning watching Jia and Jia is a major kissy girl.
Amazing how quickly he is joining us.
