We left the hotel at 9:15, arrived our hotel at noon. Details for everyone interested in the road trip part. Costs, because it's been asked: 123 for the coho, 110 in gas, one hotel at 90 and one at 59. Not counting food because we all have to eat every day. We did pack a lot of snacks and drinks.
Now the fun part. We're here! It rained all morning but it's stopped all afternoon. We met Mulan right through the gate! Then walked under the arch and the girls all got hugs from Chip and Dale. No time to catch all the pictures. One amazing one of Lili though. Luk saw Mickey from a distance. Much to my dismay the castle is missing...behind a picture of the castle. Little lines but you do give up a fair amount in Feb.
Mulan was totally in character, she saw our phone number on Jia's arm and told us all about how she wrote on her arm once on the way to the matchmakers and it went horribly for her. Ha ha. One of those moments. Can't wait for Jia to watch the movie again and see that part.
And then the rain started. We're Canadian and BC folks to boot so we're tuff. Not. You should see Disneyland clear out in the rain! We were back at the hotel totally drenched by 7. The cup holders on Luk's stroller were full!! Jia was the only one prepared to just keep going.
The Littles and I have had a warm bath and are settled in our jammies. Eric and Lili are foraging. They're headed to find groceries for the room and a late dinner. The Littles ate. Looks like an early night to bed for everyone.
No clue what the weather will be like tomorrow. We're not likely to head in again if it's still raining.
In two and a half hours we did a character line up, Astro Orbiters, Buzz Astro Blasters, Nemo, Autotopia and Small World. Longest line was for Nemo at 14 minutes.
How amazing is the Autotopia picture of the big girls?! They weren't moving very fast obviously, total fluke.
Oh and the crappy hotel has been transformed. It's beautiful. I'll get pictures tomorrow after we've tidied. Unfortunately the family upstairs is exceptionally loud with stomping. Clearly they needed to do a whole lot more soundproofing before they made it so pretty.
