We had a full day. Hanna spent the night. We were up early so we could have our fancy breakfast before meeting with two other families at a studio to paint clay sheep. We started with strawberry shortcake and then had french toast. Fei's choice.
The painting was nice. Mostly relaxed. Jia was there with May so there was some excitement and merriment ;) I was quite pleased with how my sheep turned out. Will be nice to get the Little People sheep off my mantle. We're still needing a better horse and tiger. Finally getting there with our Zodiac animal display. Oh, and our rabbit is truly lovely but it has a big pink bow and since Luk is a rabbit I think we need to keep searching or consider painting the statue.
Next we went to Subway for lunch and picked up an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.
Then Lili was in the Music Festival. So we spent hours at the Fire hall. Oh my gosh. Hours we can't get back. We were all shocked at how long we were there. She got a gold/first and a silver/second place. We're not excited about the process, we'll see how it goes on Monday. Right now the kids are thinking this will their first and last year of Music Festival.
Gramma and Grampa came for a short visit. Eric made Fei butter shrimp and butter chicken for some of us. Dinner was fabulous.
Very busy weekend! I was sure happy to get to bed. Jia and I were asleep by 9.
We have two 12 year olds in the house!
