Found this house that held some interest for us. We were able to meet a realtor today and have a look. A third of our land and a half of our house. Looking to downsize and it is definitely a downsize. The yard is great. The house is ok. Small. Nothing particularly appealing. It is surrounded in forest. Regional with a trail network. That part is what made us go take a look. We really enjoyed meeting the owners and talking towns and perfect places to live. They're downsizing too. He much preferred living in Lake Cowichan. She's from Coquitlam and thinks Port Alberni is amazing. The realtor is from Port Alberni and left asap for Victoria and really missed community so is back home.
So this got too real for Jia. She is now just glaring at me and stating we ARE NOT moving. Luk and Kai love all parts of the house and the idea of a move. Luk said "it's nice but needs a little tweaking". Hillarious. The kids told Kai he'd get the smallest room and now he's pouting because he gets the smallest room. Haha. And we're NOT moving. They're all asking if I would live there. Yes I would but it's definitely no where near a dream home and doesn't have the potential to be one either. The yard though. The yard is pretty great. Every single window looks into forest. Reminds me of Riverbottom. We just talked again. We agree, the land, placement, size, parking all perfect. House has small boring rooms. Plus...we're NOT moving.
We're home and Lili is wandering around saying "huh, our rooms really are all bigger".
