Kai walks an hour a day WITHOUT complaint. Every day. Sometimes he gets some of his hour done in the morning before school. Math skills are growing because he remembers the number and walks the exact amount after school. Today he needs 43 to finish and earn using his tablet as much as he'd like for the day. As long as real life isn't interfering with his YouTube watching.
Funny moment. A week or so ago Mom and I could hear Kai running and came to check on him. He was full on running his heart out. I was seriously concerned. He was running at 3.5 kms an hour!! We ask him to do 1.5. We couldn't quite figure out how. I mean he had to push the speed button an extra 20 times. Then this morning Eric could hear the beeping of the button and then Kai running. He raced in to stop him and asked why he's trying to go so fast. His answer "because I'll get done faster". OMG. Brilliant. So, we've been using time as the goal, perhaps we should consider a distance goal and let him run faster?
