Day 11 Honolulu

Our view at breakfast.

Not what we expected to see for Hawaii.

Tiny, baby.

The port was the worst. Not a single option for transport.  No one advertising excursions.  Nothing.

We asked other travelers and they were as mystified as we were.  So we all walked.  And walked.

It was 27 at 7am.

We got an Uber to a cultural center.  Our driver said once we were in the car that it was permanently closed.  Hmmm.  Didn't say that online.  So we cancelled the ride.  Discussed options and decided to rent a car.  Found a rental place a couple blocks from us and made the trek.  It doesn't exist, the building is torn down.  Made a report to Google.  Found shade and started calling car rental places.  Three didn't have pick up or drop off services, two were closed.

We had our first discord with each other.  Lol.

Eric wandered.  I sat online.  Finally decided we would go to Chinatown and a Hawaiian market that are beside each other.  We ubered there.

It was fun for a bit.  We had a great snack.  However....very repetitive and HOT.  Wet hot and stifling inside.  One antique place had ac.  It was hard to leave that one.

City.  Ya'll know how much I love 'city'.

Hawaiian sweet potatoe cheesecake and a spam bun.

We were drenched, bored and getting grumpy so we gave up and just went back to the ship.

Nachos for lunch.  A whirlpool.  Showered.  In our room.  Friday fireworks on Waikiki beach in a few minutes that we should be able to see from our room.  Then a late dinner.

Sea day tomorrow.  Then back to Honolulu for three days.  Our Uber driver gave us some off the beaten path ideas of things to do, away from the city.
