We're Here!

We made it! Came through the door and saw the crib...it's feeling real now! The guide that met us today didn't think that much would have changed in the last six years, to us it looks much different than we remember. Major memory jolt here for Eric, Shirley and I. Huge changes. It was odd to be at the airport without you Catherine! We managed great on our own, world travellers here. Lili and Fei are amazing at this travel stuff, they love all of it. I wouldn't advise the 3:00am flight, that was hard, but really now that we're here, it's all good.
Going through from Beijing to Nanchang was a good idea, we're all happy that the travel part is over.
Al, we met Kitty and her family from Lotus Pond in the Vancouver airport while we were waiting to board. Small little world. They were on the same flight, holidaying and we sat with them for a couple hours.
From Lili: It sure was easier traveling around Las Vegas. It's really hot here and very humid. It feels like bed time but it's only noon. Can't wait to get exploring. The hotel is beautiful. I was so surprised that there was a crib, bathtub and stroller for Jia here, even some toy ducks.
From Fei: When I first walked in the room I thought the crib was adorable, it's got Tigger and Winnie-the-Pooh on it. The baby's bathtub is so tiny. I wonder how big Jia is going to be. I love the hotel, it's big, there is fish in the lobby. The air conditioning is starting to work now.
From Shirley: It's hot. It's really hot. We have adjoining rooms and although we're short one bed, we'll make it work. Did you know it's possible to go down a dress size on one day of travelling? For my first meal today, I got to eat the garnish, 6 grapes and four of them were actually from Fei. Would have eaten something at the Beijing airport but couldn't get food to go. Yay Eric who is heading out scouting for water and food.
Oh...Shelley here again...we get Jia at 4:00 on Sunday!! We also heard that Inge would be here tonight. It's happening, it's really happening, after all these years!!
Ok, blocked from blogger, can't get anything working, stuck e-mailing, time to accept e-mail and move on. Hopefully something comes through.
