Luk and I are going tent camping at Kissinger Lake!! So exciting. Two nights mid August. We got a water site. Can't wait. I'm already making lists in my head. The family is going to visit us the second day for swimming together on Fei's gotcha. All three girls learned to swim in this lake. Now it's Luk's turn.
Not much in other news. Just home trying for lazy days. A little work and a lot of lounging. The heat is just brutal. We have ac in the living room. We call it the cool room. The ac in our bedroom normally keeps the upstairs cool but it can't keep up. Fei got her little ac going. Jia was up pacing around and Luk took his bedding downstairs to the boys couch.
The pool helps but it's just too hot to even go out there so we wait until the sun is off the pool. It still has a leak. We can't find it. So Eric adds water every day or two. We're shopping for a new liner. It's a massive job to replace it so we're thinking it will be better to limp it along for a few weeks and have the project to do next spring.
The moho fridge keeps turning off so we have a guy coming tomorrow to look at it. The sewer lines won't shut so Eric has a yucky job to fix/replace them. We discovered a new wet spot in the kids clothing cupboard so he spent a day on the roof scraping the old goop and regooping. Hopefully that was it. The moho is old. Not funky vintage old, just old.
Lili, Fei and I ran 7 errands a couple days ago. During the hot part of the day. We got a lot done, some for work some for the house. I'm not keen to head out again anytime soon. I'm extremely grateful this heat wave is happening while we're home versus last week on our holiday. We wouldn't have been able to survive the moho in this heat.
