I never, never, never factor how involved everything is. This was a whole day. Eric took apart and moved out the old set. The neighbor took the table then came over to look at couches :) We cleaned the space. Eric cleaned the utility trailer, and van so there would be nothing to scratch the new set. Put the van seats down. Gathered blankets and tie downs and a tarp just in case it rained and tools to take the table apart. He and Albi mived the new one in. Then they assembled the new one. Finally he drove back across town and picked up the side table and coffee table from them too. Which has created a whole furniture shuffle. 🤔 Old house, lots of pets. Outlets are scarce. Everything is placed around child safety and pets. So now Eric is having to move cords, cover holes and add felt feet to things. These are not bad problems or even problems at all. It's definitely making for a busy day though.
Lili and Fei will be home in an hour, so I just put dinner in the oven.
Oh, and Jia went with Eric for the second trip because she was jonesing for snacks from 7-11 and I wouldn't take her. They found a gum ball machine on the side of the road and brought it back. Which was fun but on closer examination is actually a beta fish tank. Now, yup, you guessed it, she is on and on and on about wanting a fish.
