Jia started complaining about a sore throat on the way. Yikes. We've been pretty isolated and I announce often and loudly when we're coming to Children's so everyone else can help us avoid bringing bad germs to sick kids. No other symptoms. We've been discussing putting her on a ferry and Eric meeting her. She won't hear of it. Way too scary. We'll see how this pans out.
Luk of course was panicked when he saw the saw. It cuts sideways, can't get to skin. He didn't trust and ended up screaming that the fellow cut his skin. He didn't. Poor guy was stressed. It was way more challenging to remove than I expected. Took half an hour.
Then to see the surgeon. She thinks this is unlikely to work and surgery is next. We see her in 3 months. His spinal cord is teethered and needs to be released if this stretching doesn't work.
We were up at 5:30am. It's been a long day. Late lunch and snacks in the room. Now naps. I thought we'd eat at the restaurant on site. Jia wanted lobster mac and cheese for $25, I said no. So now they want instant garlic rice in the room.
