We gave up repairing the old one, we were out of time. So the new one was brought home and we have hot water again. Sheesh.
A debacle of a crooked dealership putting a defunct part into our car to drum up business. Found by Eric and our regular mechanic. All documented and pictures taken. Extremely weird. Stressful to deal with. My plan is to report the fraud with letters when we get home and I can approach it calmly. Some people just really suck. The new general manager had the good grace to look embarrassed and admit it was suspicious, very odd and definitely a mystery. He offered no explanation.
The regular daily struggle to get Jia up and to school carries on. I was hoping for full attendance this week so that Fei and Mom wouldn't have to be too frustrated attempting to get him there while we're gone. We made it four days, we'll see tomorrow. We're leaving before drop off.
The monumental task of getting the house ready, the kids organized, the pets and their needs, my desk, yard work. The car and Cheese are ready. Packing for driving comfort, Disney days, snow, rain, sun, camping and resort. It's a lot. But we've done it. We should have a nice calm evening tonight and a relaxing morning. Eric is cooking us a lasagna right now.
We NEED this time away.
Right on the heels of the preparation it's hard to remember that it's going to be worth it.
