We left at 5:30am today and got home around 5:30. It was a long day.
Mri was an hour at Royal Jubilee. Then to two Home Depots looking at flooring for the dressing room. No luck. A Costco shop where we got me protein shakes, bars, bread and a couple supplements. I need more protein but I don't care for meat. Time to get creative. A thrift store where I got Coco a tiny dog puzzle. She has lost Izzy and Finn, her playmates. Sassy doesn't play. I can't wait to see if she can figure it out. Back to the Cancer Clinic for the Pet scan. I had my own room, iv was put in, a funky robotic looking cart came in and the radioactive tracer was injected. Then I was left in a dark room to relax for 45 minutes. No phone, no movement. I did actually nap. They need the sugars to travel your whole body. Sort of hard to relax when you are heading in for a super scary test. I mean...what if the cancer is everywhere?! The scan itself was easy, 15 minutes, warm and quiet.
We picked up poutine on the way home. Comfort food was once again required.
I'm isolated in the bedroom. Enjoying the quiet time ;)
Yesterday at the hospital I was told my sugars were a bit high. I hadn't eaten a thing all day so that was odd. I tested at home and it was 16!! I have NEVER been that high. I know being sick and in pain can cause a high but that was crazy high. The pet scan requires you to be under 11, ideally under 8. I was a bit concerned about getting it low enough overnight. I was fine in the morning at an 8.4 and by the time I did the test it was 5.2. Phew.
Ever see such a weird height thing in a parking lot? So random. Eric had to back Onyx out.
Apparently this is the 2026 fashion statement for me.
Eric's job was harder today, he had to sit in waiting rooms with people. Haha. At one point an elderly lady went into the change room but popped back out to say she forgot what she was supposed to do. Eric told her to keep her panties and sox on, gown done up at the back. My gosh. The idea of Eric using the word panties with an elder. I laughed so hard in the car.
