Yes, you read the title correctly. This little muffin is 20 years old today. No longer in the teens. She is 'in her 20's'. Half way to 40. Sob. Exciting days for her though. She is 8 in this picture.
We started the day out with brunch because that's decadence. It was Smitty's but brunch out is still a rare treat.
Then a complicated movie day for most of us. We dropped Fei home to study. Lili and Eric dropped me, Jia, Kai and Luk at one theater and then took themselves to a different theater to watch the new Spiderman. The kids and I finally saw Sing 2. We all loved it, laughed and grinned all the way through.
The kids and I had a bit of time to kill in the mall. I was trying to force Jia to find shorts and walking shoes. No luck. I don't know where she thinks all the magical time for shoe shopping is going to come from. She honestly thinks the big tall boots are a viable Disneyland option. Sigh. We might need an intervention. Eric stopped at Value Village on the way home, Jia is still working on costumes, sorry, cosplays. Eric managed to pin her down to a pair of shorts, that match nothing, but they're shorts. She got a good start on the next costume. She needs sewing lessons.
Once back home we gathered our wits, had a wee chat with Gramma then to Mr Mike's for dinner.
Finally back home for dessert. We also threw in some extra special Birthday fun and did lesson number one for Fei, Lili and Gramma on Finn and Luk care. We need back ups trained just in case and so that Eric and I can get away. Our 30th anniversary is coming up, we're hoping a get away will happen.
