She officially has her new home. When we got there the smell was really bad. The cleaner had left a gas element on. Yikes. Then later the same day the girls called freaking out because they had heard and felt something big. Fei saw a flash of green in the sky. Fei's thoughts were a bomb from the Russians and Lili thought aliens. Love it. I thought it sounded like they were describing an explosion. We all went to Facebook, because that's always where the news is first. Haha. Someone linked a Fortis call out so we knew pretty quickly that's what it was. A couple blocks away from the girls so they really felt it. The house was vacant. It's toothpicks now. Vagrants had just been moved out. So we're still waiting to hear what happened. Fortis did report that the main valve to the house was damaged. Now Mom is shopping for an electric stove and I've got Eric looking into an electric boiler instead of a new gas furnace.
We all approve. Very warm and inviting. Lots of places to walk. Friendly neighbors.
Jia will get to hang out there a fair amount if she does some of her schooling at Gramma's.
Learning to type versus finger pecking. She likes it.
I turned the page on the calendar and the road trip is in 16 days! So fun. Can't wait.
I had a cap come off a tooth on the weekend. No pain but super annoying. I could NOT get my tongue off the rough edges. Thankfully the root canal was already done so no pain. Yesterday I went in and got more posts for a crown. Another eye appointment on Wed. I dread them. Every 3 months now. The pressure in the eyes is up. I know the specialist is going to suggest time for another laser peel. Eye surgery is horrific for me. This getting old stuff really sucks.
