We were up at 7:30. Managed a Luk treatment and Kai and I had baths. We started driving at 8:30am. Stopped at 8:30pm in Williams. Google says 7 hours tomorrow to reach Anaheim. We hot wired again and got a Motel 6. It's clean. Nothing fancy. All tucked in by 9:30.
This was most of the day ;) I think I had 18 plus naps today. Lots of movies.
News from home that things are better today with the puppies.
Still a family fave. Lunch was amazing.
At one of the rest stops Kai thought the veterans coffee shack was a hot dog place. He took off on a toddler run with his arms up in the air screaming "hot dogs!" I reigned hin in but he was upset so took off running in the other direction. Yikes. I was yelling his name. Eric yelled his name loud and he finally stopped. He was upset. After telling him three times there were no hot dogs he finally believed us and then cried. So at lunch, we ordered him a hot dog and he pouted. We all reminded him about the hotdog fuss. He wasn't happy until it was in front of him. However was then upset that there were homestyle cubed potatoes versus fries. He mellowed out after lunch and settled into the day.
We met the owner. She was sweet. Thanked us for caring for children and animals and sent little cookies home for the dogs.
Rest stop fun. Looking for tumble weeds.

BK is beside the hotel. A quick dinner/snack before bed.

We were too full at lunch to eat the giant cinnamon bun. We took it into BK to keep the mess there versus the tiny room.
Lili and Fei called while we were eating. That was fun. I wish they were here!
We have a lot of California to drive still but it's already so warm. Loving it!
