Eric's oldest sister Julie moved back to the island. She bought a gorgeous house in Sooke.
She had lots of help emptying the moving van. It was fun seeing everyone together.
We left early. Breakfast out, which always feels so decadent. I had fun/frustration figuring out the new screen. Using Bluetooth for music was great. I still need a young person to figure out a few things. The back up camera has a fabulous picture.
The goal was cashew chicken at May Gold but they're closed on Saturday until 3 so we went to Spaghetti Factory. True story...both Lili and Jia stocked us on the 360 app and knew where we ate lunch. Too funny.
We wandered around the Empress but they didn't have the tree display they used to do. We did find this beauty by their gingerbread in the Lobby Lounge. High Tea was being served. So fancy. The trays looked really good. Goals.
Then the boys voted we go home but my vote won so we went to the Bay Center to look at the 70 trees on display as a charity for Children's Hospital. Eric voted for this macaroon tree.
This was my pick until I found the ducks.
I voted for this one. The boys could have cared less about voting.

Trying to interest or engage kids/teens is exhausting. We went home for dinner with Fei and Jia.
