Happy Valentines Day.

Instead of getting ready for a visit with our social worker today we're having a fun morning with valentine novelty glasses.  Not sure the critters loved them as much, well, except for Walter who really seemed to think they were quite ok!

Play date.

We're off to Vancouver for a play date.

This morning when we left our house Jia said the puddles looked like a fish and a dolphin.  I agree.  Can you see it too?  Fish on the left, dolphin on the right.  Tadpoles in front of the Dolphin.

The friendly folks at the music festival were able to squeeze Lili's Saturday entries into the Friday shedule.  So she is done music festival for piano.  She got two Silvers. So proud of this girl and how she handles herself. 

Eric found a fortune in his pocket this morning.  :)

It's been a BIG week.

There is a surprise happening in our lives.  It's been a pretty cool week.  The next few days are life altering. Details soon. Needless to say we're really super busy.  More than usual.  I know that's hard to imagine. Eric and I are moving mountains right now.

Jia is over the top.  Her normal intensity and happiness has quadrupled.  I know that is hard to imagine.  It's really hard to be around. I will never understand her ability to stay up/happy/positive all of the time. If only we could spread some of it around.

So while the schedule is busier than ever Miss Jia decided to move back into her own bed. In the past this usually doesn't work.  She either ends up back with me through the night or her behaviour plummets and she ends up back with me.  Last night however, she did it.  Normal tuck in and she slept through the night.  Eric took a picture of her this morning.  Fingers crossed for tonight.

Lili got straight A's again.  Grin.

It's music festival weekend for Lili.  She is performing today. She can't make it tomorrow as we're off to Vancouver for the day.  Her music teacher is hoping we can get things shuffled so she can do the sight reading today.  If only we could find a way to squeeze everything in.

First day of the Lunar New Year

Spent at home with the family.  Dumplings were as delish as always.  Kids were happy with their red envelopes even if they don't look so thrilled in the pictures. 

We were looking at other fcc families pictures on facebook of their dinners and wondering at the little bowls of dumplings...so ya'...here is a picture of how many dumplings it takes this family.

Now that Eric, Mom and Dad have the same phone as me I'm anticipating questions.  Thought I should finally figure out what the Note 4 can do.  I started watching YouTube and have learned a fair amount. 

Most fun has been writing on photos! Love it!  Off to watch more YouTube.  

FCC Lunch

We had a great time at the CNY party today.  Lots of catching up with the group. Kids are all growing up so fast.  Our crew all had fun.  Then we ran a few errands and came back to get Lili to a theatre rehearsal for music festival.  We will be back in the big city next weekend for Fei's Birthday and we can enjoy a more relaxed pace.

Technology

Good or bad?  Constant conversation about that.  I always defend new technology.  We let the kids enjoy their gadgets and have always found them useful.  However...I am not totally thrilled with headphones.  I just had to text Lili in the car!! She is sitting directly behind me!  That is crazy.
