Quiet Weekend

Through the first week of school. Littles still not assigned a class. School was waiting for permission for a 12th division. Apparently that has been granted so the kids will settle in early this coming week. A whole week wasted. Could have been on a road trip instead. The kids are bored for sure. Nice that there will be smaller classes though.

Gramma came to stay for a bit. Jia was delighted to have a playmate. They built a cat house together. Kai really wanted in on that. He sneaks to the boxes and tries to play with it before he is noticed and reminded it's not his. This is huge because in the past he would have simply destroyed it if he couldn't have it.

There was also a lot of Wii games. Jia and Luk tried letting Kai play but he's not there yet. The remote was just too tricky. Again...this is huge. In the past he simply had no clue they were even playing video games and he would just watch the screen like it was tv. Jia and Luk did hours of just dance. Sweaty messes. Cute to watch.

On Sunday Eric and I took the boys to Walmart. The Halloween stuff is out. Both boys walked straight to Ninja costumes and started asking. Very clearly stating which ones they wanted. It was the EASIEST costume pick in the history of time. Only $15 each! They never ask for anything when we're shopping. It was so fun to see them sooo thrilled.

Jia stayed home with her sisters so I was sending pictures and calling her. She wanted to be a unicorn and there were several choices. I suspect there will be more than a few of them at school this year. She's pleased with her choice. $8 for her wig, score. We already had the clothes. I'm delighted to have costumes figured out nice and early.

Lili, Fei and I finally saw Crazy Rich Asians. Loved it. We're all pleased to hear there will be a sequel. Great feel good movie.

We have a busier than usual week coming up.

Four cats have been enjoying the condo. Lacie has even gone in. Walter sleeps in it. Oliver attacks it and lays in wait for someone to walk by.
