The Drive In

Ok, that was fun.  Fingers crossed we get lucky with a ticket again this summer :)
The snacks were plentiful.  Even Jia eventually got into it.  So, the movie wasn't the greatest but it had a couple laughs and it wasn't the worst ever.

Ew yuk.  Parents kissing. We took the back row so kids could see better. I did drift off for a few minutes but I caught the first hour and the ending.  The back row seats totally recline.  Also, car jealousy here, Eric's van has a heated steering wheel!!  This is on my life list now.

Taxes

This is the look of a girl that has just finished year one university and is just getting to real life things. Like filing taxes at the last minute.  Sigh.  I of course reminded the girls weeks ago with instructions and links and passwords etc.  So after a busy month end day for myself I was less than impressed to have to help again.  Lili's got confusing with the scholarship and t2022.  So we ended up enlisting Susan to help, she filed it for Lili.  Then when Fei came home and hers wasn't done either we just forwarded her t4 to Sue as well.  Cost them each $25 but at least no penalty.  Adulting is hard.
This is a RARE sight.  Sasha really wanted up with Lili and Lili actually let her.  She was just happy because her taxes were done.  Haha.

Millie

Princess Millie, doing fabulously in her new home.  Much loved, looking great.  Nice to see her so happy!
Progress on the trio getting along.  They chose to nap together ❤  On Sasha's turn to come in to work, I was a bit hesitant to leave Coco and Finn alone together but Eric sent a photo of the two of them cuddled together.
I had some free time to shop online for Finn.  He needed a few things to catch him up to his sister's.  But...also this tie.  Clearly a 'need' item. Is that the cutest thing ever?!  Aliexpress, too much fun.

Fei did another TikTok

Haha.  Too funny.  Can't believe she got him jumping at her face while she was filming and singing.  Seriously funny.  Well not funny that he's going into attack mode, but, this is what puppies at 5 months old are into these days.  The link is the blue line below the photo. So, if you're new to TikTok, you can like her video by touching the little heart to the right or double tap the screen.  Also, careful, TikTok can be a tad addictive.

Morgan

This is Coleman/Finn's Mom, Morgan.  Eric and I met her tonight.  Truly shocking how much he looks like her.  Things get confusing when I talk to Joanie.  We got Coleman's papers tonight and his Dad is Chewy.  Which I had originally thought but then it got confusing. This means he is a half sibling to Sasha, Coco and Rosie.  How fun is that?!
Morgan is Chihuahua and Japanese Chin, Chewy is long hair Chihuahua and Japanese Chin.

The Driveway

It turned out better than I expected.

Rain

Eric wanted his morning coffee outside today.  It's raining.  I was doubtful, squacked a little.  He said isn't that what we built the roof for?  He was generous to say 'we'.  So, I'm wearing my winter parka, double wrapped in a picnic comforter with the heater on.  It's truly lovely out here. Listening to the rain and toasty warm with a couple pups, Walter and some tea.  Bliss.  Eric stayed a bit but the call of the compacter got him moving.

Drive in Movie

Kai has been asking to see this movie. A LOT.  He asks for almost nothing so this is a BIG want.  We have a wee outside movie thing happening locally, put on by our local movie theater.  Only 50 cars.  I can never get tickets.  I just checked and was able to get a ticket to Tom and Jerry!  The boys are excited.  Jia just has questions at this point.  She is intrigued by the idea of not having to leave the car and snacks.
Luk and I went out today.  I asked him what he wanted for lunch and without hesitation he said curry at the Haidaway.  Yum.
Our little bakery in Chemainus was open.  Scored a couple donuts.  They're usually sold out when we get there.  Good thing there are no calories on Saturday.  We were planning to grocery shop after but we were pretty full.  Didn't want to gather food or eat dinner.  So we came home to vegitate watching TV.
Contemplating nap 2.
So many distractions. Settling into nap 3.
A few more distractions.  Nap attempt #4.  Honestly, we've all napped less than 10 minutes each today!!

What?!

Why, yes, those are drilled holes in the ceiling of the living room to let the water out from a bathroom flood.  Seriously.  Said child doesn't want their name mentioned in the making of this flood.  Haha.  I will say it wasn't Kai.  The shower overflowed and went unnoticed.  Said child wouldn't have had to use my shower upstairs if a different Said child hadn't picked all the grout out of the main floor tub surround.  Why did they do that? Who knows.
This arrived as I was taking the kids to school.  The driveway project has begun.  Right as the dump truck arrived, Eric popped out the front door, left it open and Coco escaped.  Wild moments trying to catch her.  She came to work with me.  Eric asked Lili later to check on Sasha and Finn. He didn't mention Coco.  She thought that was odd but didn't question it.  Then realized Coco wasn't here.  She woke up Fei and they searched and searched.  Even getting Isabel and Sasha outside to search.  They walked the road.  Lili was despondent.  Finally called Eric and he let her know she was with me.  Poor girls, massively stressful morning.  I had told the family that I think I'll rotate the Chihuahuas to work so two are home together with Isabel and I can easily manage one at a time in the office.
Home to this sight.  I hate change.  No.  I hate the process of change. This looks really messy and like way too much gravel.
But this got to happen.
Such concentration.
Lots of big smiles.  Luk and I tried to get Kai to have a turn but he said no thanks.  Lili was keen though.  If she does take a turn I hope I'm around to take a picture ;)

Three days of meds for Finn and I feel there is improvement already.  Very exciting.  There was also a lot of vomiting, really hoping that's over with. He seems better. Full of energy. Doing amazing with his potty training.  Playing more.  Starting occasional zoomies. Best of all, he's figured out 'down' on the couch ramp so we can stop moving him to the pee pad every two hours.  Independence!

Isabel had an additional test.  Inconclusive and not connected to her initial problem.  So on a liver supplement.  She eats it like a treat. Then a retest in a few weeks.

Lili and Fei are registered for their vaccine.

Lili did her last exam yesterday.  Has two more papers to finish and turn in on Monday then is done 1st year university.

Fei is almost done her first bio university course.  Still no acceptance to nursing.  She has one high-school class for this last term.  Art.  I think she should drop it and be done but she likes seeing her friends and wants to enjoy this last bit of high-school.  No word on what graduation looks like this year.  So much wait and see.

New travel restrictions in place.  Health orders. Lots of debate on how it's all interpreted.  Blah blah blah.
My Disney game has a Star Wars event going and Luke, Leia, Hans and Chewbacca are joining my park.  Stupid exciting.  I don't get out much.

Eric has the digger going and it beeps NON stop.  The neighbors must be annoyed.  At the same time Kai is in the basement with a whistle that he has been blowing NON stop for over half an hour.  I'd stop him but he just learned how to blow!!  So it's a pretty major accomplishment.  Luk and I are planning an escape today.  No one else wants to join us.  We don't have a plan yet.  I have to cook tonight so I've made a tentative meal plan that's simple to cook and I think everyone will eat.  Luk and I will at the very least be picking up groceries.  Right now I'm on the couch with three puppies who are all really enjoying nap one. So I won't move until someone else disturbs them.  Hillarious. Oh...first distraction...neighbors big dog barking
...Coco and Isabel have gone to investigate but Finn and Sasha not convinced it's an emergency.  Half trapped still.

Cake

Mr Mr did make me a cake for after my vaccine jab :)  Pineapple angle food cake.  Just the two ingredients.  Don't drain the pineapple.  It froths up.  Bakes beautifully. Got the picture after it was cut up.

Jabbed!!

We weren't allowed pictures inside.  It was a serious/somber set up.  Much like voting or a blood drive. I thought balloons and cake should have been a part of it.  The lady monitoring the line up thought cocktails afterwards.  Happy I went.  Thrilled to be a part of ending the pandemic.  Zero side effects so far.  Eric came and held my hand.  The company was nice for sure.  Since it took about an hour.  I got Pfizer.  2nd dose in 120 days.  End of August.

Still waiting for Eric's appointment.  Lili and Fei get to register Friday.

Flex Day/Pro D Day.

Zoey spent Saturday night with us. Sunday we got to take her home.
We stopped at Cherry Point to get gelato from Albi.
Ken and Eric were able to fix a couple things on their motorhome.
I got to visit with Shannon and we all got to enjoy the cuteness of Silas.
Eric had to install a hitch on the new van.
Test drive.  The lights work ;)
A safety mat for Finn.  My living room is looking more and more like a Chihuahua playroom. Instead of being upset about it I'm considering more ways to bubble wrap his little world.
A sleepy boy with his dinosaur.  Look at that little face.  Swoon.  You can see why we need more bubble wrap. Haha.  We had the dogs in the back yard tonight and Finn was overwhelmed by the zooming of the others.  He came to me and put his paws on my ankles. His first ask for uppies.  So sweet.  Eric and I took turns holding him.
Jia and Max rode their bikes off our property alone for the first time. Jia was scared.  She isn't planning to do that again any time soon.
I'm guessing that little taste of freedom will entice her to head out again.  The lure of the slurpee is strong.
It was trickery. She was so excited to get in the car and we took her to the vet. Her issue from the other day needed looking at.  Girl issues.  The vet couldn't find any thing obvious. For everyone who has met Isabel you can imagine how difficult an internal exam would have been. They've done a urinalysis and blood panel. He was really impressed with what great shape she is in for an 80 year old.  Sob. We really are in her elder years.  We are not ready. She is not ready.  If the panels are clear next step would be a sedated exam but that is possibly extreme for her age.  Will end the post with this cuteness.

TikTok fun.

Following blue line is the link to the video Fei and Deanna made with Sasha.  Everyone go like it, we want to see it go viral.  So fun.

Dog sunglasses are a thing!

Diva.  She's ready for her close up.
Diva #2.  I just laugh every time I look at this one.
Wee fellow just had no clue what was going on.
Diva #3.  Love.
I was at the table waiting for a zoom.  Fei was busy trying to do a photo shoot because their sunglasses just came in the mail.  Way too cute and way too much fun for a couple dollars.
Can I retire and manage Sasha as a little dog model?  She's a star waiting to be discovered.
Our beautiful pack.  So blessed.
We had a couple errands to run. Getting to drive in the convertible makes it more fun. Feeling grateful today. The sun makes things better.
Lounging in the sun on the front porch and the gelato truck comes down the driveway.  This seriously never gets old.  Mom's 1st time having the gelato truck arrive since she moved in.
Lili's turn to wash her car with Dad's help.
