Hiking to the falls.

These two joined us here for a couple nights.  Eric's sister Julie and our neice Alisha. So that was fun.
Luk and Alisha lead the way.  The 15 minute hike to the lower falls was 40 minutes.  It was NOT stroller, wheelchair, Kai or Shelley friendly.
The lower falls are unimpressive.  The Rock stuck there is cool and the swimming hole on the other side looks very inviting.
All smiles here.  Then we did the bit from lower to upper falls.  Which was a lot of uphill, smaller width trails with way more roots, rocks and steep/tall stairs. Eric had the camera and no further pics were taken. He had Kai.
This is the end.  At the upper falls.  Eric took no photos of the upper falls.  They are impressive. We were all done. The decision was made to walk back the road way.  These are fake smiles.
This was the real truth. Haha.  We were done.

The road walk back was definitely easier.  We had a late lunch.  Luk and Jia are napping.  Luk never naps.  Kai has had at least 12 cries today.  He needs to poop.  Tmi. The battle is on.  We ask him to use an outhouse while camping because he waits too long and will plug the rv.  He doesn't like the outhouse.  So he's non stop belching, farting and is crying a lot.  We all know he'll be happier if he would just go poop.  This is medical special needs and autism mixed together.  He is a LOT to deal with today.  We're not feeling very relaxed right now. Sigh.

I was recently told that raising special needs kids is the same, you just treat them the same, raise them the same. Hahahahahahhahhhhhaaaaa.  Bahhaaahaa.  Hahhaaahaaa.  Nope.  No.  Not even close. Please, if you feel this way give your head a great big giant shake.  Come spend the day with us and catch a glimpse.

Our plan is to go home tomorrow, shower, replenish moho things, work for me and pool maintenance for Eric.  I'm wanting a break from Kai's issues so sort of wishing we were going back tonight.  Another big sigh.  He's being mollified with his tablet right now.

Now it's windy and cold so we're all inside under blankies.  Where is summer?!
