After midnight.
The ac isn't working so I called the front desk. They said someone would come right up. Eric put pants on and answered our door at a knock.
Except....it wasn't hotel staff at the door it was a crazy woman attempting to get past Eric yelling and screaming that her Mom was in here.
I could hear a scuffle while Eric was yelling at her to get the F out and wrestling with her. !! My gawd.
He had to physically fight her to stop her from getting in.
For real.
Then he had to hold the door because it seemed likely she might actually break the door in.
I'm trying to call the front desk. She's at our door screaming and attacking the door. Eric is yelling at her to go away and yelling to me to call the police. I did. We gave play by play reports. She did the same routine to the room next to us.
We heard the neighbor wrestle her out of their room too. Hotel security and hotel staff tried talking to her.
Five police cars arrived. They got her out and we can see them outside of the lobby talking to her. Rcmp came back up for our report. Looking to see if she had assaulted us and to see the room and make sure her Mom wasn't here.
Crazy happens everywhere.
And then hotel guy came up. Set the ac to the same setting we already did. We have zero hope that it's going to cool down but at least the person that was ramming our door is gone.
The hotel fellow told us she snuck in while someone else used the elevator and he thought she was mentally ill.
I asked the police if she was ok and he said she is safe with them.
Luk woke up petrified and shaking. Kai slept through it all.
Luk and I think we won't be able to calm down enough to actually sleep.
I could do with WAY less excitement.
We can't even ask for a hotel discount since the Variety Club is footing the bill.
