These two are pretty darn excited to have us home.
Kai's tree and graphic art projects. These were drawn on his i-pad and made into stickers. The really interesting part is that he used enough words to tell me about it.
Ok. I spent an hour on the phone with an adoption co-ordinater. She feels this litter is a better fit for me. We have been invited to meet the litter in two weeks.
This one looks like Izzy.
Can ya'll believe Izzy passed two years ago?!
There are four families that will get to view, meet and greet the litter before us. I suspect this one will be chosen first. Luk, Jia and Mom all preferred this one.
I adore this little face.
This one is my fave. Boy. No one else agrees. Eric took one look and said he has no ears. Hmmm. I see ears. I am definitely partial to black dogs.
They have all been bottle fed and yesterday they were moved onto gruel. It's adorably all over this guy.
They are five weeks old. Viewing at 7 weeks. Spays and neuters timed for after that and then they will go home with their new families.
The puppies are not double coated.
This girl is solid black too with a tiny bit of white under their mouths.
Three of the puppies look like this one.
Their mama is part Burmese Mountain Dog. She is very small for the breed. The size of a short lab. The father is unknown. Those little feets on this potatoe look pretty big. The mama sounds amazing. I asked if I could have her, nope she is being spayed and going back to her family. She is a marvelous guardian. That is my ultimate goal and hope for this fur baby so it does seem like maybe a good fit.
So yesterday was exciting knowing the odds were high that we'd have a new baby in three weeks.
This morning I woke up feeling like I didn't want to get up to take a puppy outside.
A puppy will be better for Sassy, Coco and Esmei. They can let it know they are the boss. An adult might not get that message from the littles.
Kai was gushing over every single picture. He is definitely excited.
