Quick update.

Grateful today that we have bcaa rv plus.  Well into Manning Park today and Eric noticed a puff of smoke out our back end.  There was a pull out right where we were. Transmission oil was spewed all under the moho.  Yikes.  A logging truck pulled over and told us he'd call Hope towing for us.  It was 3 and we were all sleepy so most of us had a nap.  Tow truck came and took four of us to the lodge.  Fei and I got a ride in from a nice young male couple (opening up lots of talks) who stopped for directions from the tow truck.  We were there in time for dinner.  Our tow truck guy went back the few minutes to get the moho and there was another tow truck on the way in to take four of us.  All worked fabulously.  Full tow for both vehicles covered.  We tipped both of them $20.  They left us at Car Guys in Hope.

We were in hope by 7.  Not bad for a road emergency.  We went to Mcdonalds for ice cream and charged all the phones.  Now we're all settled in to bed in the parking lot.  Kids aren't phased at all.  Jia was more concerned today that I gave Luk more water than her in their cups ;)

In our haste to get our rides to the lodge I forgot to lock the fridge.   Uh oh.  The whole door came off.  Shelves flew and everything came out.  Poor Lili found it.  The only things to make a real mess were pink yogurt,  cherry cider and cream soda.  Jia picked Pinkalicious for her story tonight, too weird. Eric had most of it cleaned up by the time I got here with the Littles and Fei.  So lucky the door went back on without fuss.  Could have been so much worse.  Once many years we opened our camper to find spilled chili and beer.  Ew, now that was bad.  Plus we had no dinner.

I wanted to stop at a campsite with ground squirrels.   That didn't happen but at dinner a little guy popped out of his hole and stuck around for a good long while.  Jia wanted to color so we spent some time tonight on our ongoing project. Lili asked yesterday if we could get ice cream today.  So all wishes were met.

Fingers crossed for a speedy, easy and cheap fix for tomorrow.  The adventure continues!
