Lunch Date

Eric and I went out today to run errands.  Washed the car.  Ordered ceramic roosters for the girls and I to go paint.  Stopped in a thrift store on our way to the toy store.  Where I found a set of six rooster mugs!  We also found funky old sixties wood dining room chairs for $2 a piece. We got six.  Because 18 dining room chairs makes sense.  We found some nice toy roosters for the boys. We hit one more thrift store in town, found a mug, three lunch plates and two side dishes from our set - score. Then finally to a late lunch which was nice and peaceful at White Spot.  Eric dropped me at a dollar store while he took the chairs home.  I did Valentine's, found four leaf clover coins to put in our school red envelopes and found rooster placemats.  It was a good roostery day for sure. We ended our day at Walmart.  Got a few things and we're home after five hours of galavanting.  The kids tell us we were gone too long.  Smile.  They survived.  We ate dinner on our rooster placemats and kids and I used the rooster mugs.  They just don't get excited about these things like I do.  Lili said "you know you won't use these for twelve more years." Gulp...way to take the fun out of it. The conversation then went to there will be significant others by then and not enough placemats or mugs.  Sigh.  But for $15 can't we just enjoy them until mid Feb?

Hoping to get the Chinese New Year docorations out tomorrow.
