Kai's Hat.

Typically Kai hates hats or gloves.  Ditches them asap and if you're not watching they disappear.  I'm tired of buying new gloves and hats so refrain from giving them to him.  The girls have Mouse ears and I didn't want Luk to miss out so ordered Micky hats for the boys.  Headbands don't work for them. Even knowing Kai's was a sacrificial hat so he wouldn't resent Luk having one. We don't deal in logic.  Mitigating trauma and tragedy where we can.

So this morning the hats went on.  They've been in my room for months.  They knew they were coming.  They were packed in their bags.  The excitement was high.

Kai COULD NOT leave his hat alone.  To the point I was genuinely concerned that he'd rub his hair off from all the twisting and turning.  It reached extreme levels before we were even at the park.  It was a bit concerning that the day was going to be ALL about the hat.  Jia figured it out that if you touched his hat, or got close to his hat, or talked about his hat or even looked at his hat he would scream and yell at you not to touch his Makkeee Moudt hat. So of course that was way too much fun for her to ignore and she was setting him off continually.  The line up for security was long and monopolized by Kai and the extreme hat drama.  I try not to look out and see who is staring at us.  Today I imagine there were a lot of peeps watching.

Eric and I made a game of trying to find the best look.  Haha.  Sanity has left the building.

Too all of our amazement the hats both survived the day.
