We found Nicole and Steve on the Hullo over. They're off to see ACDC tonight. So we got to go for breakfast together at De Dutch. So that was a super fun happenstance.
Embarkation was stupid easy. Through security and customs and onboard in 20 minutes. We love the Vancouver port. It helps that there is only one ship boarding. Another ship docked but it doesn't have an itinerary and doesn't normally sail here.
Our room was ready immediately. We unpacked. Went to the lido for a lovely lunch starting with a homemade strawberry icecream cone. I love that we were on the Koningsdam in August so it feels very familiar and we were able to quickly acclimate.. Then to check into our muster station and back to the room to change into our bathing suits. We spent three hours in the thermal spa. It's so nice. Pure luxory. We met some lovely people from Sooke/Lake Cowichan. The boat is full of older folks and a handful of kids. We ate dinner in the lido again. We're all tucked in at 7pm. Haha. It's been a long day. Wicked is one of the movies we can watch in our room. Eric hasn't seen it so that's fun. Our little inside room is lovely. No complaints. The bed is so comfy.
We're just settling into all the reading about tomorrow and contemplating a room service breakfast.
