Easter at Goldstream

Getting ready for camping, Easter, a cruise and Lili's move.  Leaving Fei and Jia at home with pets.  Clearing off my desk and taking care of personal paperwork and booking, booking and booking appointments.  It's a lot.
It was a week.
We live with teenagers.
I feel like we're behind in all directions. Our lawn is the longest it has ever been.
Eric worked overtime trying to configure the new solar charger, upgraded power inverter and new charging station by our bed.  It was complicated but he did it and the power situation is amazing in the trailer.
I put in an online grocery order for camping to save time.  I wasn't planning to go with Etic to pick the order up but he came in and said the top was off.  Then Lili talked about a Slurpee.  Sold.  We scored a sunny, windy drive with a rootbeer slurpee.  A much needed wee escape.

Mom took me for a pedicure on our last day at home.  Thanks Mom.  My toes are Holland America orange, ready for our hydrotherapy, hydrothermal spa trip.  After the pedicure we stopped into the thrift store next door and I found a kettle that I've been hunting for since we got Cheese.  Score!  It's the same as the one we've had for 30 years in all of our units and the cornflower pattern of my play dishes as a kid.  I also found a suit jacket for Jia that will work for the Alaska cruise. Double score.

The traffic was bonkers on the way to Goldstream.  I definitely started to think we wouldn't get a site.  But we did.  And it's a double so Shannon and Ken are with us.  It was just us here the first night.  The boys were great.  They're enjoying camping.  It bodes well for our summer. The park attendant told us today they just opened the row we're in two days ago and the whole park is full.

Lots of down time ;)

Yay, Ken arrived so Eric could show him his trailer power installations.

The fire pit we've had since Luk was a baby decided to struggle today.  So, he had a mission.  It took a while to figure out.  The orifice on the gas line had a spiders nest in it!  Crazy.  Don't be impressed, I didn't know the part was called am orifice, Eric had to tell me.

Bedtime sword fights.
It's late.  Luk hung out in the dark playing man tracker with a gaggle of kids.  He's exhausted, running in orthotic leg braces is hard.  He had fun though.

Luk had a glow stick when he got back, Kai was jealous, so I asked Eric to get one for him from the stash. I turned and they were battling right away.  Boys.

I did nothing today.  All day....nothing.  It was weird, and wonderful.  Outside all day.  No naps, no chores.  Eric cooked and did dishes.  I played on my phone.  Well rested.  I'm exhausted from the nothing.  Time to sleep.  It just started raining.  I love the sound on the trailer roof.  Hoping it stops for tomorrow though!
