Englishman River

Busy days but we made it camping. Phew.  Friends bought a 78' Moho.  Eric is helping get it running soundly and quietly.  Things didn't go as smoothly as he anticipated so I had to step up and do a bit more than usual to get us here.  For a while we thought my bike helmet didn't make it but we found it tonight.  All in all we did pretty good.

Before we left Jia and I snuck in a visit to Emily and family at Stoltz.

Trial with Kai went great.  He can do it this year! He even liked it with smiles!

An almost normal shopping day out with Mom.
No kids, no dogs. Not much covid weirdness.

Fei sat kids and dogs while we went to dinner with other adults, inside a restaurant.  Fun.  Fei said even the dogs are social distancing.

You guys! Look what Eric built for my tiny girls!!
Coco slept with me in the moho and it went well! She was super sweet and cuddly. No one got bit. Love it.  They both scoot up like rock stars. Still scared of the down.

A mall trip for lunch, a couple moho supplies and a quick trip to get Jia something that fits. Where they found matching hoodies.  Two leggings, one capri, t-shirt and two hoodies. Good start. These two are only five months apart in age.

May on Jia's, Jia on mine. They toured the whole campsite. The folding bikes are working out great.
Eric went out on a real mountain bike trail with the girls. Jia had a pretty good fall.  She's upset about it.  She's especially upset that I asked how my bike fared.  Bad Mama.

Sasha doesn't like camping. She has had an episode of vomiting, not eating, all lethargic. Oy. Hand feeding, syringing water. She has bounced back.

Her first wind at the ocean. Not sure she loved it.  Lots of sensory overload.

We met friends for dinner in the park.

The kids there have game cubes. Kai wanted to play. He is obsessed with colorful  plastic. Then he blew me away by solving some colors.  I bought a cube yesterday and he's mildly interested in it.

Canada day. Looking smart.

Eric took some group selfies but I don't have them yet.

First Canada Day without the big girls.

Lunch out with kids and pups at Coombs.

We had a great day out at Coombs. Brought May back to ride with Jia and Eric. Boys were set up with a movie and the pups and I crawled into bed with a book on my phone. Super sketchy cell service. Then without warning our batteries died. Died dead. As deep cell batteries do.  Bit late on Canada Day to buy new ones. I was intending to stay Thursday with the kids at the site while Eric came home to meet Al and work on their moho. We did a quick plan change and decided it would be easier to just go home for the night. Kids weren't thrilled with that plan. Nice for me to get a good shower. Check in with big girls, Isabel and the cats.  Also great to let Sasha and Coco loose. They loved getting home and where zooming all over and playing. They really don't love camping. We ended our day with poutine and a maple chill from Tim's. Can you get more Canadian than that?!
The new maple chill is VERY similar to the butterbeer at Universal.

I'm feeling a tad anxious about having left the moho behind.  Planning to be there for dinner.
