Mid Autumn Moon Festival

We had a lovely evening. Good dinner, great company. Perfect weather. Although it was so overcast we didn't even see the moon, we knew it was there and we were all pretty grateful it didn't rain.  We didn't get to do the sky lanterns because the wind was going the wrong way. Kai ripped the bottom off his lantern within seconds of handing it to him.  Penny came to the rescue with some first aid tape.  He was careful the rest of the night.

Luk and Kai crashed the second they got in the car.  Late night for them. Long walk for Luk and tough walk for Kai in the dark. Plus they did the Terry Fox run in the afternoon at school.

Jia and Emily were in their own world, having a party.  Asia and I were walking with Kai and we heard Jia ask Emily if she was Chinese.  Emily said "I think so".  Too cute. Then Jia told her she was Chinese too.  Emily told Jia she was born in China and Jia said "me too".  Asia and I had a great laugh at the cuteness.

Lili thanked me for organizing, making lanterns and packing snacks and tea.  Aw, appreciation :)  So rare.

Yesterday we woke up to a rainy day.  We couldn't decide what to do. We hung out at home procrastinating long enough that we were home for a last minute visit with friends. That was nice.

Today we're attending a funeral for the girls friend Ross.  Brutal.  I've never been to a service for a child before.
