Disneyland!

A few hours behind schedule but we made it!  On the road at 8 and arrived at our hotel (Dessert Palms) at 5. First time driving through LA in afternoon rush traffic. Yikes.  Eric and Ken did a fabulous job of getting us all here safely. We loaded our room, changed into shorts and headed into the park.

First time in the park with a wheelchair.  The first thing we attempted was the train , which is stairs. I had to whine and push to get Eric to take the chair up the stairs.  The rest of our night went great. We had a late dinner then managed Autotopia, Nemo, Astro Blasters, Space Mountain, Star Tours (11 minutes) and the older kids did the Orbital roundy round thing. By Disney standards that was quite a feat!

Lili and Fei figure it's working out so great with the wheelchair access perks that they'll stick with us tomorrow.

Luk fell asleep on the walk back. Kai fell asleep the second his head hit the pillow. With his Cat in the Hat propped up beside him.  Should have taken a photo. It hasn't been a photo day.

Highs of 38 today. A long drive. Jia wanted out of that car!  Luk was mostly ok about the drive but squaking and screaming about Jia. Who was a buggy-boo but no more than usual.  Kai was a dream.  No issues.  Weird. He was delighted with his shows. Happy to stop, happy to get back in.

Both boys are loving Disneyland.  Kai in particular is keen to get to the next ride.  Neither one liked Space Mountain but no real fussing about it either.

Jia is thrilled to be here again and super excited to have Zoey here with her.

Luk was hillarious driving in Autotopia.  I was howling laughing.  He was super serious.

We're heading back in tomorrow. Late night again. Early mornings.  Not a restful vacation by any stretch :)

Stopped for gas beside a roadside stand selling fresh nuts and fruit. In Los Banos. We got Tequila pistachios (no liquor left, just strong lemon) and orange flavored peanuts. Fresh peanuts...noticeably better. Love these giant cacti.
The decorations are fabulous!
He was sooo serious.
Stopped to watch the fireworks. Thought Jia was cute filming them.
Oogie Boogie gracing the California Adventure park.
