So Many Appointments.

Digging for geodes. I'm sure it was great fun for him, it was very loud at nap time for me.  Haha.
This never gets old.  I love seeing them snuggle.
Max and Jia hadn't seen each other in a few weeks.  When they finally saw each other they just grinned and giggled for a while.  We need to make bigger effort to keep them together.
When Albi picked up Max he had the gelato truck. He pokes his head in the front door and yells "GELATO".  I need to film this.  Kai screeches "Gelato!!!!" and gets his shoes on and makes it outside in record time and he babbles excitedly the whole way. I didn't move, just yelled out chocolate and Eric delivered mine to me.  Also never gets old.

We did a jammie day on Sunday.  We were up late Saturday with friends over.  Life resuming slowly.
Look at her little paws cupping her tiny nose.  Awe.
Mom and I aren't loving grade 7 math.  We were ok until it was time to teach estimating.  So, I hired a tutor.  First session was last night. He reports she's doing great.  She was able to work through some grade 11 math.  She liked working with him, said it was fun. She understood the work they did.  He's coming back Wednesday.  I'm hoping he can stay until she's done the math component of her online program. Jia had huge fear of working with a tutor.  Another fear conquered.

The big news is that yesterday Eric and I drove to The Grove and registered Jia for grade 8.  Mostly homeschool with the option to go in twice a week for a couple hours. The work is BC curriculum focusing on scholastics.  Also paper packets by the week so less computer work.  She keeps herself pretty busy here with her own projects.  We've discussed it as an option for Luk but he does not keep himself busy on his own so for now the boys will both continue at Alex Aitken.

This morning I had a phone call appointment with a nurse practitioner in the dermatology dept for Luk's rash. I had no clue how this was supposed to work.  I sent photos.  She asked all her questions and as I suspected/knew, this is excema or schoriasis. No cure.  Nothing that will work better than we're managing.  And of course they'd like to see him to confirm which affliction it is. They're treated the same way so I don't know why it matters. Now he's squeezed in the afternoon before his cecostomy tube change. Busy days.  Oh, and his tube changed was booked, then rebooked because now it's going to be sedated.  Great for Luk, more panic time for me.  Nothing ya'll can say will ever make me comfortable with kids and pets under anesthesia.

I got an appointment for the retina specialist for the spot in my eye.  In September.

This aftaftern I'm spending a couple hours in the dentist chair. Crown.  Super fun times.

Thursday Lili, Jade, Jia and I are off to see Olivia Rodrigo in Vancouver.  The following weekend is Easter.  We're camping.  Total nut jobs.  What was I thinking?!  It's way too cold for camping.

Now I just rescheduled a dentist appointment so that Luk and I can stay a second night.  It's just too long a day after a sedated procedure to cram in coming home in the evening.  And then I booked ferry reservations for coming home.  Just in case.  Then I went back and reserved one for the girls and I for the home trip from Olivia Rodrigo.  Things I've never had to do before. Adding to the prices.  $17 for each reservation.  Bah.  Variety Club is working on a room for us. Eric is picking up a ferry tap form from the pediatrician today.  We're getting there.  Right now I'm wishing we just lived in Abbotsford ;)
