Ist Day Back to School

I wasn't sure how we were going to get Jia back to school.  Against all odds she went willingly and was in a decent mood and didn't start complaining until we were in the car.  Prayers she has a good day today and perhaps tomorrow will go decently smoothly too.  Both boys were up bright and early as per usual.  Happy enough to be headed back.  They'd rather not have to go but weren't complaining.  Funny shorts situation as we were getting in the car.  Kai's were too small and Luk's were too big so they swapped in the driveway!  Haha.  So the pictures aren't quite correct.
Grade 7.  Last year of elementary!
Grade 5.
Grade 5.  The boys are likely to have Miss Louise this year.  They're in for a fun year.

We were mostly ready but I forgot to pack the boys extra supplies.  They both have outfits in their bathroom and in their backpack.  Then we got ready for doing school lunches again.  Yuk.  It gets sooo tedious packing food for picky Jia and Luk.  Can I just send sushi every day?  Kai is happy to eat a sandwich and fruit everyday.

On the continuing water/flooding issues.  Our upstairs toilet starting leaking from inside, under the pedestal part.  So a new toilet went in yesterday.  Sigh.  Eric was embroiled in the swap. I was up half the night with a sick Finn.  Then the girls arrived home before lunch.  I'd assumed we'd see them later in the day and we'd surprise them with home cooked dinner.  Instead they grocery shopped for me!  Ran their errands.  Did some laundry.  Then ate dinner and left pretty early. It's their first day of University today too.  They haven't sent me a picture yet.

Now aside from critters it's terribly quiet here at home!

Update...Lili and Fei called for a long chat, they sound happy.  Luk was happy telling me the details of a science experiment.  Kai is just mad that he couldn't demand blueberries for snack.  We don't even have any.  Jia said "Can we just go home.  Worst day of my life.  I don't ever want to go back to that hell hole".
